.. and winter quickly followed..
I can't believe the last time I blogged was in July. Everything has happened so quickly. Summer rushed by, Fall flew in, knocked everything around and now I'm in sitting in a pile of snow, scratching my head and holding onto the pieces of my heart.
Sterling moved out in October.
I don't want to go into the details right here and now.. He moved into a neighboring cabin with Meko and Merlin; we are in contact often, and are still rooting for the other the best we can.
It was a pretty big shock for me.. I didn't see it coming, and the events leading up to it all kept me from being able to formulate words for any blogs. Many of my emails and messages got backed up as well.
This year has been an utter mess hasn't it? It's like the rug just keeps getting pulled out from under us all again and again.
So.. I'm living in this cabin alone now, and Winter has already set in with a foot of snow.
I'm sure I'll be blogging more, because it's an interesting experience to live alone like this.
I'm especially nervous for the darker months of Winter. We just don't get a lot of sunshine during the Winter. The sun sets around 2 pm behind my mountain.
I have been filling my spare time with making art. It's always been a therapy for me..
I did a lot of drawing in October, and I think it helped hold me together while Sterling was moving out. I think Inktober saved me. I almost made it through the entire challenge before I couldn't keep up any longer.
But I ended up loving each of the drawings so much!
I finally sat down and was able to list all of the new pieces from this entire Fall including the Inktober drawings.
I had a few people ask me if I would sell the originals, and I will! Just send me a message and let me know which one you are interested in.

I've also been hard at work with Spirit de la Lune this Summer and Fall. We released our second edition, designed some calendars and have been shipping out tons of orders.
The deck now has silver stamping on the backs of the cards and the cover of the guidebook. The set also features a new box that fits everything inside. (Also featuring silver printing.)
It's quite the magical deck, and I'm happy to have been so busy working on it this year.
This week 20% of Spirit de la Lune's Sales are going towards Standing Rock.
I really wanted to go out there in person, and I think I still might.
My plans didn't seem to work out, and the I didn't hear from the people I was planning on going with. .
So I'm trying to come up with a new plan so I can still make it out there with some donations.
But for now, Marissa and I doing what we can. So if you've been wanting to get the deck, and help out at Standing Rock now is a great time.
I'm sorry for not posting at all since July. I literally cannot believe my blog posts and pictures are going to be snowy again. And if you've sent me a message, and I haven't replied, please politely remind me.
This year has been chaos. I'm both nervous and excited for what this new year will hold..
I'm thankful that we were able to gather the firewood I would need for the cabin since I last posted. It's turned cold and we already have more snow on the way. It feels nice to have all the wood gathered for this winter.
Though something within me has decided I won't be at the cabin for another year after this.. A new place is calling me next fall.. I can feel it...
